Hi Everyone!
My name is Taylor, and if you have ended up on this page you are probably much like myself with a love of crafts and hobbies. My first love was sewing, and more recently knitting and gardening.
I find myself always wanting to learn something new and going to the library for new garden and craft books. I have shelves full of yarn and fabric, along with supplies for embroidery, block printing, dyeing with plants, caning furniture, wood burning, and wood carving. It brings me so much joy to learn how to do things myself, and see the finished products. Sometimes I feel as though if I haven’t done something from scratch, I haven’t completed the task (e.i. When I made soap I found myself feeling that I needed to learn to make the lye from our wood ashes- yes sometimes my mind takes things a little too far). Of course, I know this isn’t always necessary, and I love supporting other artists who are dyeing textiles, creating and teaching. Even more so if they are taking a sustainable approach. This love for “starting from scratch” is what brings me so much contentment in my home garden. Nature in all it’s adaption and ability to provide for itself never ceases to amaze me.
So I hope to welcome you to my page, and help to inspire you along your creative journey. I will have supply lists to get you started, helpful book recommendations, ideas, and stories.
